The company's primary focus is investing in both listed and unlisted companies with a proven business model, a positive culture, and a strong presence in growing markets. ZAPRIS prefers to invest in family or private businesses seeking expansion capital and led by quality management teams with aspirations for growth.

The company primarily invests in businesses with an enterprise value between $2 million and $10 million and seeks to have majority equity investments, allowing for effective value addition and influence over strategy and operational execution. In addition to this, ZAPRIS also invests in undervalued and countercyclical ASX-listed companies in the small to mid-cap range.

At present, ZAPRIS invests primarily in early-stage technology companies, focusing on internet and software businesses, including consumer and social internet applications and e-commerce. To support the growth strategies of its portfolio companies, ZAPRIS provides central administrative functions such as treasury, IT, HR, and contract/property management. This approach allows ZAPRIS to approach new deals from a trade buyer perspective, enabling them to provide significant value to their portfolio companies beyond just financial support.
